Licenses belong to factor sets

Each factor set carries its own license. You must respect the license of every dataset you redistribute and inspect the license field on the exact release used in a calculation.

DEFRA / DESNZ

UK Government conversion factors are published under the Open Government Licence unless a release states otherwise. You may copy, publish and adapt the data, commercially or not, provided you acknowledge the source.

Open Government Licence

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

US EPA

US EPA material is public domain as a work of the US federal government. Attribution is appreciated but not required.

Commercial sources

Commercial datasets such as ecoinvent may not be redistributable. The API can expose their metadata, but you must obtain your own license before using the numbers downstream.
